(coat - vintage £30, Shoes - Vagabond, Shorts - Zara Basics, top - Rihanna for Riverisland)
I hate how bad vintage leather jackets smell when you buy them and getting them dry cleaned is so difficult and really expensive so I spent about two hours steaming it carefully with a wallpaper remover, not sure if thats safe or not, then febreezing but it still smells ahhhh, does anyone know anything I can do?
Oh and i'm in love with all of Zara's stuff recently, the prices are decent as well, it's such an underrated shop.
Obsessed with these shoes. However way tooooooo expensive!

Use softening to make the smell go! I use that and it pretty much works well, but for dry cleaning, I have no idea myself, sorry!

ReplyDeletemaybe try airing the coat near your boiler in your house or in airing cupboard overnight? might help, it worked with a levi denim jacket that i got from a charity shop a couple of weeks ago with a very distinct smell of fish and chips.

i had the same thing with my jacket, i just decided to bite the bullet and put it in the washing machine, i ended up having to wash it twice and honestly the change was practically non existent. the jacket ended up fine and smelt a whole lot better
